How do you know if you have enough ankle mobility to go on pointe? Try this quick and easy self-check called "The Pencil Test" ✏️
Heres how:
Place a pencil along the top of your pointed foot. Does it lay flat? If it does- you are good to go! If not- time to start working on your mobility!
Keep in mind, ankle mobility is only ONE piece of the puzzle when it comes to dancing safely on pointe. Don't start spending all your time stretching and forget to work on the strength and stability component!
