Meet the Team

Jenna Loewer, DPT
Owner & Physical Therapist

Jenna grew up a dancer, cheerleader and figure skater, which is where she first fell in love with movement. She is a Western NY native (Go Bills!!) and in 2011 graduated from Nazareth college in Rochester, NY with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. After graduation, she spent 3 amazing years working with a mentor who taught her the ropes in the world of dance medicine. She worked with The Rochester City Ballet, Garth Fagan Dance Company and Eastman School of Music.

After relocating to Northern VA in 2013, she quickly realized her unique experience with Dance Medicine was able to fulfill a need in this area. She decided to chase her dreams and officially opened On Pointe Wellness and Rehab in 2016. Although Dance Medicine is her passion, she has continued to expand OPW to help anyone who is ready to invest in their health and live a pain free life.

In her time as a Physical Therapist, Jenna has served as an adjunct faculty member at Nazareth College and George Mason University. She an active member of the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS) and serves as on the advisory board for Doctors for Dancers.

Maria Loya has been a Physical Therapist for over 10 years. She graduated from Florida International University in 2012 with a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. She was born and raised in Miami, Florida and played sports throughout her childhood, with basketball being her favorite. She moved from Florida in 2013 and has since lived in various places such as Virginia, Oahu, and Germany. She has been fortunate enough to work in multiple outpatient orthopedic facilities with athletes of all ages. As a PT, her goal is to help and educate individuals on improving their activities of daily living by focusing on their body’s mobility and physical strength.

Prior to having her first child in Jan. 2023, she became very interested in working with individuals dealing with pelvic floor dysfunction. She has learned first hand how a weak pelvic floor can limit someone from participating in sports and/or everyday activities. She looks forward to helping women better manage their pelvic floor dysfunction and continue doing all they things they love.

During her free time, she enjoys watching the Miami Dolphins (yes, that's right. Jenna hired a Miami fan!) and spending time with her family and two dogs.
